Book Dedication:The books are dedicated to my children Kristina, Daniel, Kimberly, Kerri-Lynne, David, Kathryn, Dominic and Kassandra for the inspiration that I received from spending time reading to them and training them on the value of their character and the importance of ones character in life.
Motivation for writing the Books: When my children were younger, I tried finding books for them that would provide encouragement to teach them to develop good character qualities. I could not locate any so I thought, why not try to develop stories, write them and then see what they thought. I wrote the first 2 stories to see what they thought of them and they enjoyed them so well that I decided to see if I could have them published.
Where did the idea of Character Tales come from?A number of years ago, I attended a seminar entitled “Institute for Basic Life Principles” and at the seminar purchased a volume entitled “Character Sketches”. The individual sketches teach about the character traits of an animal and then tie it to a Biblical character with the same character trait. I thought, children love animals therefore why not create stories using animals to teach about character building.
Intention for writing the books:To place reading tools in the hands of parents and grandparents enabling them to teach their children and grandchildren about character traits.
